Love: 1. a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person.
Humble: 1. not proud or arrogant; modest: to be humble although successful.
Too often... people forget that Humbleness and Love are dependent upon each other. What does your love for something, or someone have to do with you? If your answer is along the lines of "the way that I see it" or "the way that it makes me feel", a conflict of interest is present. You love it because it benefits your agenda, rather than what it does for you. We often miss the boat on what love does for people close to a given situation. Think about John 3:16. God didn't give us Jesus because of how it made him feel or because it elevated his status. God gave us Jesus because of the salvation he knew it would bring. As humans we are far too fickle; We base our love on momentary feelings while not realizing that at times our best interests don't coincide with the people we claim to love. God was also humble in the manner in which he sent his SON to save us. If it wasn't done with a humble heart, we wouldn't be given a shot at redemption. We must get used to attributing love to parts of life that don't benefit our own personal gain. Our legacy includes our deeds while alive but it continues to live through the energy we put out on earth while living.
We NEED to embrace the road blocks we face with blessings. We can't expect God to give us a building and not expect to do daily maintenance. You can't pray for God to give you rain for crops and complain about mud. Luke 12:48. Do you think players love practice more than games? Does a chef enjoy cooking the food more than watching a customer enjoy his meal? Do you think a child enjoys studying more than actually receiving an A? Once you are rewarded for your obedience you must understand God makes room for you in his kingdom and the extra responsibility being placed upon you is praticaly you preforming maintenance to show him that you are worthy and ready for all you asked for.
Proverbs 29:18. Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.
Understand what it is That God expects of us all and move as unselfishly as possible. I love you and pray we have understanding.
